Isulan, Sultan Kudarat

The municipality of Isulan was created by virtue of Executive order No. 266 dated August 30, 1957 with the seat of government at Barangay Kalawag. However, it was only on September 15, 1957 that the municipal government officially functioned with the appointment of its first set of officials headed by Mayor Datu Suma Ampatuan who served as a Mayor until 1967. It is in Isulan that the first mobile hospital is officially used under the administration of Gov. Pax Mangudadatu(now the Representative). Also, the Provincial Capitol of Sultan Kudarat holds the record of being the Biggest Capitol Building in terms of metric squares. The capitol is a four-storey building with a helipad and a tennis court for a rooftop.

Beside Capitol building will soon rise "The DOME". When done, it will be one of the biggest dome in the Philippines along with the Big Dome in Cubao, Quezon City.
